Building and scaling Indonesia’s #1 movie tickets app
TIXid needed to build an iOS and Android app that could streamline and transform the purchase experience of movie tickets for the largest movie cinema chain in Indonesia, Cinema XXI. The app needed to provide real-time updates of the latest movie information, seating information and pricing while making the ticket purchasing experience seamless.

Within 3 months of relaunching apps by Imaginato, installations surged to millions of units and revenues from app ticket sales exceeding targets month after month. The Android app had also reached top 5 in the Play Store with a 4.6 rating based on almost 60,000 user ratings. Imaginato continues to work closely with the Tix team to scale their backend microservices and to optimize the movie-going app experience in Indonesia.
